Why You Need Online Interior Design

Whether you have used an interior designer before, have considered using one, are studying to become one or, like me, for many years dreamed of working in the industry, it’s easy to view it as a an exclusive ‘club’. Interior Design has a reputation for being available only for the very wealthy; people with amazing, spacious properties who are free to spend at a moment’s notice with no objection to how much things cost. And the truth is that while Interior Design can be eye-wateringly expensive, it’s no longer the only way.

Now, I’m not going to try to claim that paying for interior design services is something readily available to everyone (especially while we all watch our cost of living continue to skyrocket) but a bit of smart investment in your home can be life changing. After all, the desire to feel your best and most comfortable in the spaces you inhabit and the urge to create somewhere you want to be is universal, and applies to any domestic space, big or small.

When I was studying to become an interior designer, my thoughts naturally turned to the type of clients that I wanted to work with and the type of services that I wanted to offer from Pep Interiors. Realising quickly that I would like to find clients who were as enthusiastic about interiors as I am, the reasons that might draw them to me became clear, whether those reasons were lack of time, the inability to agree, or lack of confidence.

Because of this I have created package services with my clients in mind. Focusing my energies on concept e-design - whether you have chosen my Pep Up Package, Pep Room Package or Pep House Package – means I can provide helpful, informative and cost effective services to people who want to make the best use of their space and the most out of their home and are keen to remain in control of the process.

Here is why e-design might just be the solution you are looking for;

E-design is cost effective.

1) Online -e-design provides the client with the tools and the vision to take a project forward, but often at a fraction of the cost of a full interior design service, which often incorporates project management, detailed drawing work and purchasing built into the fee. With e-design, any unnecessary extras fall away, so packages can be easily adapted depending on the level of help that is needed, and the client can be secure in the knowledge that they are paying a flat fee.

2) E-design enables an interior designer to keep their overheads low.

3) The designer can work to any budget and can use that budget to maximum effect.

4) The client can often find they make back any money spent on hiring an interior designer with access to trade discounts.

The client is in control of the result.

E-design services typically consist of client meetings (either online or face to face), layouts, concept designs, mood boards, floor and window treatment suggestions, styling tips, shopping lists and samples. Throughout the process the client is able to amend their design as it starts to come together and this gives them the confidence to embrace as much or as little as they want and to take the project forward when the time is right. I truly believe that with knowledge comes the confidence to find your own style – and that, for me, is what successful interior design is all about.

The process is much faster.

Concept designs can be turned around quickly, so they are perfect for clients who are considering redecorating or renovating and want something to refer to when they are ready to start the work.

You don’t have to sacrifice hours to meetings and multiple site visits.

These days, interior design services can be conducted without a designer ever entering your home. This might sound bizarre, or counter-intuitive - but for a designer, working from floor plans, measurements, videos or photos is no different to working off plan, with developments that have not yet been built! We understand buildings and we understand spaces, so provided we have accurate measurements, there is no limit to what we can do!

And while we love to meet our clients and get to know them in person, online meetings mean that we can work around the busiest of schedules. This also means that as a customer, you can search much further afield to find the right designer for you!

Online e-design is an accessible way to get the expertise you are missing.
